Privacy policy

Last updated August 2026

This policy explains what happens to personal data you submit through this website. It covers the website only. If your institution uses the Smart-Learning AI product, the handling of learner data is governed by the data processing agreement between us and your institution, not by this page.

Who we are

Smart-Learning AI is the controller for personal data submitted through this website. You can reach us at hello@smart-learningai.com.

[CONFIRM] Registered company name, company number, registered address, and ICO registration number to be added here before launch.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form. That is your name, your email address, and, if you choose to give them, your organisation, your role and the content of your message.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this website, so we do not build a profile of your visit.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and to continue that conversation if you want us to. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, meaning we are replying to someone who deliberately contacted us about our product.

We will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry, and we will not sell or share your details with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

Who else can see it

Your enquiry is handled by our own staff. It passes through the services we use to run this website and send email. [CONFIRM: list hosting and email providers, for example Vercel and Resend, and where they store data.] Those providers act on our instruction and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Email hello@smart-learningai.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is aimed at adults, meaning educators, institutional staff and parents or carers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website. Learner data processed by the Smart-Learning AI product is a separate matter, covered by the agreement with the institution, which remains the data controller for it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
